New Mexico is a state with a rich history, diverse landscape, and varied cultural influences. All these blend together to provide artists inspiration and opportunity to translate their experience here in paint, clay, stone, metal, digital image, music or written word.
The Artistic Vistas Trail travels along what was once the Santa Fe trail. This northern New Mexico art trail travels over the high plains, to historic towns living and dead, past fields filled with buffulo and antelope, through canyons and broad valleys, and over a mountain pass. It is possible to drive in a few hours what took early settlers days. Or you can take a couple days, a long weekend or a week to immerse yourself in the vistas and arts of the area.
Eighteen studios and galleries, covering a wide range of media, spread out along State Highway 64 and Hwy 434 from Raton to Cimarron to Eagle Nest to Angel Fire and beyond. We welcome you to experience New Mexico as we know it.
